A man remains at large after allegedly assaulting two female staff members at separate massage parlors in Melbourne's central business district on July 9. The incidents were captured on CCTV, and police are investigating.
Footage shows the man approaching one woman inside a business on Little Bourke Street around 4:18 p.m. He allegedly punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. The woman attempted to flee the room, and the man appeared to attempt another strike before kicking a door and exiting.
Approximately 40 minutes later, the same man was seen on CCTV in a different business on the same street. He allegedly spoke to another woman before punching her three times in the head. As the woman lay on the ground, the man appeared to stamp on her torso before leaving the venue.
The man was described as wearing a red hood and a black jumper with the word 'Australia' on it. He was later photographed on an escalator at the Paramount Retail Centre on Exhibition Street.
The footage was shared on social media platforms, including a Melbourne community Facebook page, where users urged the public to help identify the man. The posts described the attacks as unacceptable and condemned violence against women.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed that officers are investigating the assaults. Police were made aware of the incidents on July 14. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
