A man has been filmed jumping onto a primary school worker's motorbike and grabbing her hips in traffic in Manchester, England. The incident, which occurred on September 12, was captured by a helmet camera worn by the rider's friend.

The Incident

The 32-year-old motorcyclist, identified only as Ellie, was waiting in traffic on Oldham Street when a man ran from the pavement and mounted her Kawasaki ER-6F motorcycle without her consent. Footage shows the man steadying himself on the bike before grabbing Ellie's hips. Bystanders can be heard screaming in surprise.

Ellie reacted by shouting and slapping the man across the face with her right hand. The man then appeared to grab his ear in apparent pain before jogging back towards a group of laughing men near a bar. Ellie later expressed her shock, stating she was shaking and that her "survival instincts" had kicked in.

"A man jumping onto a woman's bike without consent is weird," Ellie said. "I was so focused on not dropping the bike I genuinely didn't even process how inappropriate the whole thing was until afterwards."

Online Reaction

Ellie shared the video online, where it garnered significant attention. She captioned the post: "Someone come get their grandad. He's out here touching women and bikes."

Social media users widely condemned the man's actions. Many commented that he would not have behaved that way towards a man. Others expressed solidarity with Ellie, with one user stating, "Getting assaulted in broad daylight. Unfortunately not an uncommon experience for us women."

Commenters also criticized the man's friends for laughing in the background, with one user describing their reaction as "vile what men will do to women just to impress other men." Another user questioned the man's audacity.
