Malcolm Potier has been jailed for the third time after attacking a woman during a performance of the Queen musical "We Will Rock You" at the London Coliseum. The incident occurred during the show's press night.

Potier, seated next to his partner, theatre critic Lizzie Loveridge, throttled another audience member for approximately five seconds. The altercation began when the victim was singing along, prompting Loveridge to tell her to "shut up." The victim responded by saying, "That's a bit rude." Potier then interjected, stating, "I'll show you what rude is," before assaulting the woman.

Loveridge had previously written a review of the production, criticizing audience behavior, including "sing along audience members who inflict their mediocre singing voice on the rest of us." Her review, however, did not mention Potier's physical assault on another patron.
