A man in his 70s died after being trampled by cattle at Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk on Monday, July 13, 2026. Emergency services were called to the National Trust property near Cromer at approximately 11:45 a.m. following the incident.

Despite efforts by paramedics to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Police are investigating the incident in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive.

A spokesperson for the National Trust expressed deep sadness over the event. "We are shocked and deeply saddened by this news, and our thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time," the spokesperson stated.

Felbrigg Hall, a 17th-century property, was donated to the National Trust in 1969. Its grounds encompass 520 acres, featuring woodland, a lake, and a walled garden. The site was closed for the remainder of Monday and all of Tuesday following the incident.

This is not the first fatality at Felbrigg Hall. In 2007, an 11-year-old boy, Daniel Mullinger, was killed by a falling tree branch during a school orienteering trip at the estate.
