Santa Ana police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a woman while she was pushing her young daughter in a shopping cart at a Target store. The incident occurred on July 22 inside the Target on 17th Street.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect approaching the woman and grabbing her buttocks as he walked past. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, after the assault, the man continued walking, grabbed his groin over his shorts, and stared at the victim.

Authorities described the suspect as a male, approximately 6-foot-1 with a medium build, weighing around 200 pounds. He has black hair and a black goatee. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black shirt with a car logo and black shorts.

This incident in Santa Ana is being noted in conjunction with a similar event on April 19 in the Winnetka area of Los Angeles County. In that case, a woman identified as Monica reported that a man approached her in a Vallarta Supermarket, claiming to remove a bug from her back, but then inappropriately touched her.

"You feel so violated, and it’s like invading your personal space," the victim stated at the time. "You’re trying to process what is happening to you at that moment."
