A man has been found guilty of harassing Walthamstow Labour MP Stella Creasy on a Victoria line train, a court has ruled. The court found the individual guilty of acting in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram referred to footage in which the defendant stated, "I don't care about your feelings, your feelings don't matter to me." The magistrate noted that Creasy had stated, "I repeatedly asked him to stop, he didn't, he was abusive and aggressive," and added that "it's clear from the defendant's own words he did not care."

During the proceedings, the man told the court he had hoped to continue a previous conversation with Creasy about a constituent on the Tube. He claimed Creasy "became quite agitated" and that he was "quite shocked by her reaction." He stated he began recording on his phone "for my safety." The defendant denied standing in front of Creasy and asserted that she spoke to him first. He also refuted claims that he told her in 2024 that he had been diagnosed as a psychopath.

The magistrate also referenced the intervention of two other members of the public, stating, "In relation to the conduct of the two members of the public who intervened, the situation must have been such that there was concern for her safety, otherwise they would clearly not have intervened as they did."

The man is scheduled to be sentenced on September 8.
