A man discovered on the roof of Fresno High School on Friday has been identified by the coroner’s office as 30-year-old Daniel Ramirez. The body was found shortly after 11 a.m. by a school employee who was near a structure outside the school's library.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of a male body on the rooftop. Preliminary findings from the Coroner’s Office indicate that Ramirez's body may have been on the roof for several days, or potentially weeks. The Fresno Police Department is investigating the circumstances of how Ramirez accessed the roof and the exact duration he remained there.

Authorities initially treated the discovery as a potential crime scene. However, the Sheriff’s Office has stated that there is currently nothing suspicious about the death, despite the body potentially being exposed to the elements for an extended period. The police are asking for anyone with information to contact the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-7000.
