Police are investigating the death of a man in his 30s who was found deceased on Kersey Road in Kirkby on Saturday afternoon. Authorities were alerted around 12:50 p.m. following a report from the North West Ambulance Service.
Merseyside Police have established a cordon on Kersey Road and parts of Broad Lane. Detectives are conducting CCTV and witness inquiries as part of the ongoing investigation into the full circumstances surrounding the man's death. Forensic teams were observed working within the cordoned-off area.
An eyewitness told the Liverpool Echo that the man was found shoeless and with facial injuries. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them by calling 101, quoting log 513 of June 27, or to provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained. Officers are restricting access to the area while investigations continue.
