A 46-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a dispute with a group of individuals in The Bronx on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 6:50 a.m. on East 183rd Street and the Grand Concourse.
The victim was involved in an argument with several people, which escalated into violence. He was repeatedly stabbed before his attackers fled the scene in vehicles. The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in The Bronx, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released pending family notification.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the dispute or the number of assailants. This stabbing marks the eighth murder recorded in the 46th Precinct this year, an increase from three homicides during the same period in the previous year. As of July 5, The Bronx had recorded a total of 46 murders, compared to 52 for the same period in 2025, excluding Sunday's incident. Despite this specific increase in homicides within the precinct, overall major crime in The Bronx has decreased this year, contributing to a citywide reduction in crime.
