Newly released video footage documents the final moments of a man who was fatally shot by Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies after he attacked a mother and her daughter in their garage.

The incident occurred on July 15 when 23-year-old Fareyeshyi Allahdin was first observed entering a Starbucks armed with a kitchen knife. According to an employee, Allahdin went behind the counter and attempted to force his way into a back room, prompting staff to barricade themselves.

Surveillance footage captured Allahdin running down Diablo Drive with the knife before entering the garage of a residence in the 5700 block. Police stated that as a 63-year-old mother was attempting to enter her vehicle, Allahdin intercepted and began stabbing her. Her 26-year-old daughter heard the commotion and intervened, wrestling the attacker off her mother. Allahdin then turned his assault on the daughter.

Deputies arrived on the scene as the daughter struggled with Allahdin. In the video, officers can be heard repeatedly ordering the suspect to drop the knife. He did not comply and continued to stab the daughter, leading officers to fire their weapons. Allahdin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. No officers were injured during the incident.

Authorities have described the attack as random, with no prior connection between the suspect and the victims. "This monster just saw an open garage, saw a victim and immediately started attacking," Sgt. Edward Igoe of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.

The weapon used in the assault was identified as a silver kitchen-style knife with a 7-to-8-inch blade. A neighbor expressed concern about the proximity of the attack, noting, "I had my garage open at the same time – I got a wife, kids, so it’s just kind of hitting close to home."
