Man Fatally Shot at Memorial Service in London; Killer at Large

A 40-year-old man, identified as Levi Davidson, was fatally shot at a memorial service in west London, and the perpetrator remains at large.
Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots at approximately 7:45 p.m. on October 8, 2026, near the junction of Braybrook Street and Erconwald Street in Acton. Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.
More than 50 people, including children, were present at the memorial service when the shooting occurred. Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the investigation, stated that the incident transformed a time of remembrance into a devastating event for the victim's family.
The Metropolitan Police are actively investigating the incident and have urged anyone who was in the area between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to come forward with information. Detectives are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity, individuals carrying weapons, or vehicles speeding away from the scene.
Investigators are also seeking any photographic or video evidence, including from dashcams, doorbells, or mobile phones, that could assist in identifying those responsible. Authorities emphasize that even seemingly minor details could be crucial to the investigation.
