A 38-year-old man was fatally shot, and another man sustained a gunshot wound, in Jersey City early Sunday, according to police.
Jenardo Tejada, 38, was shot near the intersection of Orient Avenue and MLK Jr. Drive around 2:30 a.m. He was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Jersey City Police Department confirmed the incident.
A 45-year-old man, also shot during the incident, was found two blocks away at Jackson Square.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are conducting an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made.
