Man Ejected From Boston Bar Unleashes Profanity-Laced Tirade

An intoxicated man was captured on video engaging in a public outburst outside the Sam Adams Taproom in Downtown Boston after being ejected from the establishment. The incident, filmed by a bystander and shared online, shows the man shouting threats and insults at a bar employee.

The confrontation occurred outside the popular tourist destination on October 26, 2026. In the two-and-a-half-minute clip, the man, wearing a Bruins t-shirt, can be heard repeatedly threatening to kill the employee and his family, referring to the worker as a "maggot."

Dave DeCecco, head of communications at The Boston Beer Company, stated that the man was asked to leave the bar due to "inappropriate comments." The employee who was the target of the man's aggression largely remained calm and attempted to de-escalate the situation, while the man paced angrily.

At one point, another man intervened to try and calm the situation. During the altercation, the ejected patron used a racial slur, which elicited gasps from onlookers. The incident drew the attention of people in the busy area surrounding the brewery.

Boston Police were called to the scene and assisted in removing the individual after the situation escalated. "We’re proud of how our coworkers handled a challenging situation, as they all remained calm and respectful throughout the duration of the incident," DeCecco said.

Public intoxication is not a crime in Massachusetts, though police can place intoxicated individuals into protective custody. Aggressive behavior by an intoxicated person can lead to charges under city ordinances.

The video of the incident generated significant reaction online, with many viewers expressing concern over the severity of the threats and commending the bar employee for his composure.
