The man identified as Austin Perkins, who gained notoriety as “Malibu Joffrey” after a viral video captured him in a racist tirade on a Malibu beach, appeared to dismiss the controversy with a social media post. Perkins shared a video of himself striking poses with the caption, “Mog on and move on.”

Perkins was identified by The California Post as the individual seen in footage confronting beachgoers on July 4th. The confrontation reportedly began after the group asked Perkins to clean up litter he had left on the sand. The video showed Perkins responding with obscenities and racial slurs.

During the incident, Perkins allegedly refused to address the trash issue and instead directed insults at the family regarding their appearance, sexuality, and heritage, at one point telling them to “go back to your country.” The situation nearly escalated to a physical altercation when Perkins lunged at the person recording, attempting to grab their phone before retreating and continuing his verbal assault.

As Perkins and a female companion walked away, he continued to shout insults, reportedly referencing Vice President Kamala Harris and questioning the family's financial status.

Perkins's social media post is reportedly his first public statement since the video of the confrontation gained widespread attention and sparked public outrage.
