Man Critically Injured in NYC Beer Bottle Attack

A man is in critical condition after being attacked with a beer bottle in Manhattan on Sunday morning. The assault occurred around 6:45 a.m. at West 190th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights, according to the NYPD. The victim, 43, was struck in the head with a Dos Equis beer bottle and left unconscious.
Authorities reported that the 12-ounce glass bottle was recovered and taken into evidence. Photos from the scene showed a significant pool of blood on the sidewalk.
The injured man was transported to Harlem Hospital. The attacker fled the scene before police arrived and has not been apprehended. The motive for the assault and whether the victim knew his assailant remain unclear.
