Man Charged with Over 200 Offenses in Central Coast Filming Case
Authorities allege a seven-year period of sexual and physical abuse documented by covert filming.
A 38-year-old man from New South Wales' Central Coast has been arrested and charged with 210 offenses following allegations of secretly filming the sexual abuse of three women over a seven-year period. The accused, Christopher John Ridings, was taken into custody on Monday.
Police discovered approximately 2.5 million files during a separate investigation into a domestic violence incident. In December 2025, officers seized 120 electronic storage devices from a home in Tumbi Umbi. A subsequent review of these devices led to the uncovering of extensive covertly filmed sexual content. Detectives from the Tuggerah Lakes Police District established Strike Force Zetter to investigate the matter further.
Ridings was arrested at a facility in Wellington, located near Dubbo. The charges against him include 109 counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent, 57 counts of accessory to sexual intercourse without consent, and 12 counts of aggravated sexual assault involving deprivation of liberty. He also faces 10 counts of sexual intercourse without consent, five counts of aggravated sexual assault with offenders in company, and four counts of taking a person with the intent to commit a serious indictable offense.
Further allegations include stalking the women, administering poison with intent to cause injury or distress, and aggravated sexual assault of a minor. The victims are reportedly aged between 29 and 31.
Ridings was scheduled to appear before the Bail Division Court on Tuesday afternoon.
