Man Charged with Murder of British GP
A man has been formally charged with the murder of Dr. Hannah Terry, who was discovered deceased at her Norfolk residence.
Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with the murder of Dr. Hannah Terry, also known as Hannah Cain. Dr. Terry, 45, was found dead at a property in Fern Hill, Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday. Norfolk Police confirmed the charge against Cain, who resides at Fern Hill in Dersingham. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
Dr. Terry was a physician at Grimston Medical Centre. The practice's website has posted a notice stating it is "temporarily closed due to extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team." Tributes, including flowers and a teddy bear, have been left outside the medical centre. A card from patients expressed shock and sadness over the news.
The Norfolk and Waveney Local Medical Committee, representing NHS GPs, issued a statement mourning Dr. Terry's death. A spokesperson described her as "a wonderful GP who was dedicated to providing excellent care for her patients."
