Man Charged with Murder After GP Found Dead Near Royal Estate
A 45-year-old man faces murder charges in connection with the death of a general practitioner found at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk.
A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a general practitioner dead at her home near the Sandringham estate.
Mark Cain, 45, was arrested and subsequently charged with the murder of Hannah Cain, who was in her 40s. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the charge on Tuesday evening.
He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court for an initial hearing on Wednesday morning.
Senior Crown Prosecutor Michael Devaney stated, "The Crown Prosecution Service has decided to prosecute Mark Cain, 45, with the murder of Dr Hannah Cain. It follows an investigation by Norfolk Police at her home in Dersingham."
Dr. Cain, who also worked professionally as Dr. Hannah Terry, was found deceased at her residence in Dersingham during the early hours of Sunday. She was also affiliated with the cosmetic treatments business Norfolk Sky Aesthetics.
The medical practice where she worked, Grimston Medical Centre in nearby Grimston, was closed on Monday. Colleagues cited "extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team" as the reason for the closure.
Hannah Cain, who was in her 40s, was found dead at her house in Dersingham, Norfolk, during the early hours of Sunday morning.
