Man Charged with Murder After Body Found in Queensland Unit

A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a deceased person inside a unit in Woodridge, Queensland, on Tuesday. Police were called to the North Road complex around 7:15 a.m. to perform a welfare check.

Officers found 65-year-old Tony Cue unresponsive inside the unit. He had sustained visible injuries and could not be revived at the scene. Homicide detectives launched an investigation, with forensic officers working throughout the day to collect evidence from the unit.

Following extensive inquiries, the suspect was arrested by police in nearby Beenleigh on Tuesday night. He has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police have not yet released information on whether a weapon was involved in the incident. Neighbors described Cue, who had lived in the complex for over 30 years, as a good neighbor and noted they last saw him on Monday watering his plants.

Investigations into the death are ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
