Man Charged in Alleged Workplace Fight Leading to Colleague's Fall

A 53-year-old man has been charged in connection with a workplace altercation that left a 26-year-old colleague with severe back injuries. The incident occurred on September 17 in Cabarlah, Queensland.

Authorities allege that the 53-year-old was involved in a physical dispute with the younger man, during which the 26-year-old fell from a platform and landed on a metal bar. The injured man was subsequently transported to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

The 53-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on October 13.

The 26-year-old victim has been released from the hospital. Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is continuing its investigation into the circumstances of the alleged incident.
