A man has been charged after crashing his vehicle through the wooden gate of the East Hampton home owned by musicians Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital. The suspect was identified as Keith Jonathan Webster, 63, a resident of the Bronx.

Webster has been charged with felony criminal mischief in the second degree and misdemeanor criminal trespass in the third degree. Police stated that the front gate of the property sustained "significant front end damage."

A witness observed Webster driving at a "high rate of speed up the driveway" before breaching the gate and entering the couple's property. Webster's vehicle was impounded as evidence.

Following his arrest, Webster reported an injury and was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. He was released back into police custody after receiving medical attention.

During his arraignment on Thursday, Justice Steven Tekulsky issued a stay-away order of protection, prohibiting Webster from contacting Beyoncé or Jay-Z. Reports indicate Webster appeared disoriented and was subsequently taken to Stony Brook University Hospital’s mental health facility for evaluation.

Authorities are investigating Webster's motive for the incident. Preliminary information suggests Webster does not have a criminal record, according to the East Hampton Press.

It remains unclear whether Beyoncé and Jay-Z were at their East Hampton residence at the time of the incident. Representatives for the couple have been contacted for comment.
