A 68-year-old man was repeatedly struck with a Razor scooter during an altercation on Wednesday evening in Brooklyn, according to the New York City Police Department. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Lincoln Place near Utica Avenue in Crown Heights.

The victim reportedly got into an argument with a younger stranger when the assailant suddenly grabbed a kick scooter and used it to assault the man multiple times, authorities said. The exact cause of the dispute and whether the scooter belonged to the suspect remain unclear.

The injured man was transported to Kings County Hospital Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The attacker fled the scene on foot, heading west on Lincoln Place towards Schenectady Avenue. As of Friday, the suspect had not been apprehended.

Police released surveillance footage showing the individual wearing a red jacket over a white t-shirt, red-and-white patterned shorts, and sneakers. The footage captured the suspect pacing on the sidewalk and glancing at his phone.

Anyone with information regarding the attacker's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips online via the Crime Stoppers website or on X (@NYPDTips).
