Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl in Southampton. The incident reportedly occurred in a wooded area off Wide Lane roundabout, near Mansbridge Road, in Swaythling, on Sunday afternoon.

The girl, who was attacked in broad daylight, reported the assault to authorities after 3 p.m. A significant police presence, including uniformed officers and forensic teams, was deployed to the scene, with activity observed near the White Swan pub.
