Man Arrested in Connection with Sexual Assaults on Two Girls in City Centre
Police apprehended a man in his 20s on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident near Gloucester train station.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of two girls in Gloucester city centre. The incident occurred near Gloucester train station around 6:45 p.m. on September 27.
The man, described as being in his 20s and of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a female. He reportedly touched the girls on their waists and bottoms.
Gloucester Constabulary located one of the victims after the attack, but the second girl fled the scene. Officers are seeking to identify this second victim to ensure her welfare and to continue their investigation.
The arrested man was released on bail following a police interview. His bail conditions include not entering the city centre and attending Bearland Police Station on Friday, October 2.
Police are appealing for the second victim or any witnesses with information to come forward.
