Police arrested a man after a woman was found dead following a stabbing incident at Bondi Beach in Sydney.
New South Wales Police responded to reports of an incident at a unit on Chambers Avenue in Sydney's eastern suburbs on Saturday at approximately 5:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman, believed to be in her 90s, with significant injuries. Despite receiving treatment at the scene, she was pronounced dead.
A 47-year-old man was apprehended at the location and subsequently taken to Surry Hills Police Station. Authorities have established a crime scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
