The FBI arrested Ayden Langevin on Monday morning in connection with alleged violent threats made against President Trump and Secret Service agents. Federal agents took Langevin into custody at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The arrest followed an exclusive report by the account 'Libs of TikTok,' which stated the FBI identified Langevin after he posted a series of threats online. According to the report, Langevin expressed anger over assassination attempts against Trump and urged the public to take mass action.
In statements attributed to Langevin, he allegedly advocated for individuals to "grab guns," group together, and "rush the White House and actually kill Trump and ALL of the Secret Service." The suspect reportedly emphasized that "killing" was the only viable option.
'Libs of TikTok' announced Langevin's arrest less than 24 hours after alerting authorities to the threats, confirming he was no longer considered a threat to the president.
The FBI has not commented on the specifics of the case but confirmed the arrest.
This incident occurs in the context of past threats against former President Trump. During his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump survived two alleged assassination attempts. On July 13, 2024, a gunman fired from a rooftop at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Two months later, on September 15, Secret Service agents apprehended Ryan Wesley Routh, who was found with a rifle near Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, while Trump was on the premises.
In April, Secret Service agents removed Trump from a stage at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C., after an armed individual bypassed a security checkpoint and opened fire in a lobby before being tackled by law enforcement.
