One man has been arrested after police stopped a taxi driving the wrong way down a dual carriageway in Anglesey on Monday evening. The incident led to the temporary closure of the A55 road. Prior to the taxi entering the carriageway, a cyclist was knocked off their bike on London Road in Holyhead, and several parked vehicles sustained damage.
The cyclist was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The arrested man remained in custody on Tuesday as the investigation continues. Police confirmed there were no collisions directly resulting from the taxi traveling in the wrong direction on the dual carriageway.
