A Jetstar flight scheduled to depart Melbourne Airport for Brisbane on Wednesday was delayed after a man was allegedly found to have boarded the plane without a valid ticket. The flight, JQ562, was scheduled to leave at 9:35 a.m.
Witnesses told 3AW's Rumour File that the man was initially stopped from boarding but reportedly found another way onto the aircraft. Crew members on the Airbus A320 discovered the individual at the rear of the plane and subsequently contacted police.
Australian Federal Police were called to escort the man off the aircraft. The incident resulted in a 30-minute delay to the flight's departure. Jetstar confirmed that a security incident occurred on board the flight but did not offer further details.
