A man has admitted to drugging and raping his wife without her knowledge for more than 20 years, pleading guilty to 60 offenses against her. The husband, in his sixties, appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court and repeated the word 'guilty' to dozens of charges, which included multiple counts of rape, assault by penetration, and administering a substance with intent.

The wife watched the proceedings from the public gallery, accompanied by family members. At one point, the judge invited the husband to sit down in the dock as he became visibly emotional.

He is from Stockport, Greater Manchester, and his sentencing is scheduled to occur at the conclusion of the trial.

In addition to the charges admitted by the husband, twelve other men deny multiple serious sexual offenses against the same woman. Separately, a 13th man previously admitted to sexual offenses against the victim.
