Man Accused of Terror Plot Faced New Charges Including Against Nigel Farage
Joshua Kerry, already facing murder charges, appeared in court with an additional allegation of preparing terrorist acts.
Joshua Kerry, 28, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court facing a new charge of preparing terrorist acts, which included targeting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. The court heard that the alleged acts involved research on targets and attempts to gain entry to Farage's home.
Kerry, who is also accused of the murder of former MP Ann Widdecombe in July, appeared in person and confirmed his address and date of birth. He was described as having a thick beard and wearing a grey sweatshirt and trousers. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
The new charge states that between May 31, 2024, and July 8, 2026, Kerry engaged in research on potential targets and traveled to and attempted to enter Nigel Farage's home. The report also noted an incident in April 2025 where damage was caused to the front door of Nigel Farage's south London house, with a bottle of lighter fluid found in the porch.
