Man, 63, Charged with Murder of 94-Year-Old Father in Bolton

A 63-year-old man, Mark Lord, has been formally charged with the murder of his 94-year-old father, Allan Lord. The charges follow an incident in Bolton where police were called to a property on Bryngs Drive in Harwood.
Officers responded to concerns over a man's welfare at the residence at 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, discovering a deceased individual. The body was later identified as Allan Lord.
Mark Lord appeared before Judge Nicholas Clarke KC at a hearing on Monday, wearing a grey tracksuit. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to next appear at Bolton Crown Court on November 16, where he is expected to enter a plea. A trial date has been set for March 30 of the following year.
