Mama June Shannon, a figure known from reality television shows like "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," has shared her thoughts on her daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird's decision to create explicit content for the platform OnlyFans. Shannon stated in a recent interview that while Efird, an adult, has the autonomy to make her own choices, she hopes the financial compensation is substantial.

"All money ain't good money," Shannon remarked, indicating a degree of caution regarding the nature of the income. She also suggested that Efird, described as outgoing, does not appear to be regretting her decision and seems to be enjoying the freedom to "do what she wants."

However, Shannon did voice concerns about the potential impact on Efird's four young children, who might encounter their mother's content as they grow older. This concern comes as Efird, Pumpkin's older sister to Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, has begun releasing what is described as "hardcore" content on the site, approximately five months after joining the platform.

Efird herself told TMZ that the explicit material represents "another revenue of money and so many options to do and give." She is reportedly charging between $100 and $150 for some of her content, which includes a video described as depicting sexual intercourse with her boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens, and plans for girl-on-girl content that could potentially extend to a threesome. Efird's bio on the platform reads, "Enjoy the spicy side you didn’t get to see on TLC or WeTv 😈🌶️!!"

Efird claimed that within two weeks of joining OnlyFans, she had reached the top 0.5% of creators and was earning "almost in the six-figure range." She stated that the proceeds are intended to provide for her children—Ella Grace, 8, Bentley Jameson, 5, and twins Sylus Ray and Stella Renae, both 4—mentioning college funds, fulfilling their desires, and vacations as priorities. "I do all of this for my kids," Efird said. "The money that I make, it’s going straight to them... I’m a mama first."
