Mama June Star Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird Engaged to Darrin Kitchens
The reality TV personality announced her engagement to her ex-husband's cousin, who she joined OnlyFans with less than a year ago.
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird, known for her roles in TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "Mama June: From Not to Hot," is engaged to boyfriend Darrin Kitchens. The announcement comes less than a year after the couple began creating content together on OnlyFans. Kitchens is the cousin of Efird's ex-husband, Josh Efird, from whom she finalized her divorce in August 2024.
Kitchens proposed to Efird on a rented rooftop in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by candles, red roses, and a large illuminated "Marry Me" sign. Efird shared the news via a TikTok slideshow, expressing her joy and gratitude for Kitchens' support. Her sister, Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, and Thompson's boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, were present for the proposal.
"I am literally STILL over the moon!!!" Efird wrote in her TikTok caption. "Last night Darrin proposed, with [Alana] right by my side, and I seriously couldn’t have asked for anything better."
Efird and Josh Efird, who share four children—Ella Grace, Bentley Jameson, and twins Sylus and Stella—agreed to joint legal custody following their divorce. Efird has described her relationship with Kitchens as unique and supportive, noting his involvement in her OnlyFans work, which includes explicit content.
"The way you support me, the way you love me, the way you love my kids, and most importantly, the way you ALWAYS lift me up means more to me than you’ll ever know," Efird stated in her announcement. "I'm so excited for this next chapter, for our future, for our family, and for all the memories we still have ahead of us."
Efird also revealed that she makes between $14,000 and $15,000 per day from her OnlyFans content, attributing her career choice to a desire to provide a better lifestyle for her children. The engagement and proposal will be featured on the family's reality show, "Mama June: Family Crisis."
Recently, Efird publicly addressed a private school's decision to revoke her daughter Ella's admission. According to Efird, school administrators cited her explicit adult content on OnlyFans as misaligned with their values. Efird expressed frustration over the lack of communication during the admissions process and stated that Ella would now be homeschooled.
"I was told that my social media does not align with their school. Excuse me, what?" Efird wrote on Facebook. "I was brought into an office and told that my daughter would not be accepted because of MY social media. Not hers. MINE."
