Malin Akerman Teases

Malin Akerman, star of the Netflix series "The Hunting Wives," is anticipating a second season that promises to be as captivating and provocative as the first. Akerman, who portrays the enigmatic Margo Banks, assured Page Six that her character will continue to embody a "salacious and sexy" persona.

"I would say [that Margo is] equally as engaging and salacious and sexy," Akerman stated. "I love my character. She’s the best. I am so happy to be playing Margo Banks. She’s one of the most exciting characters I’ve ever gotten to play."

The series, a surprise hit for Netflix, follows Sophie (Brittany Snow), a woman who relocates to Maple Brook, Texas, and becomes drawn into the orbit of Margo, the alluring leader of a group of elite wives. Akerman hinted that the dynamic between Margo and Sophie might evolve in the new season.

"There’s a lot more fun to be had with other characters, not with me, but other characters have fun doing their thing as well, [so] we get to experience [that]," she explained, suggesting a broader exploration of the show's ensemble.

Earlier this year, Akerman described Margo as "unapologetic" and "sexually powerful," noting that she enjoyed portraying a character who wields such influence. However, she also cautioned that Margo is "not a great role model."

Akerman recently attended the A Sense of Home Gala, an event supporting displaced families and individuals. She was there to honor her longtime friend Sophia Bush and Bush's partner, Ashlyn Harris. Akerman has known Bush for over two decades and expressed her affection for both Bush and Harris, describing them as "good, solid people."
