Male Escort Accused of Defrauding 'Roblox' Widow Flees to Dubai

A male escort accused of defrauding a New York City widow out of $6 million has reportedly fled to Dubai and transferred more than $1 million of her fortune to an offshore Middle Eastern account, according to the widow's attorney.

Greggory Starr allegedly moved the funds from his account to one based in Dubai shortly after Marianne Flippo, whose late husband co-created the popular game "Roblox," filed a lawsuit claiming he swindled her out of millions. Starr's attorneys deny the allegations, stating he was merely traveling.

"He moved the money to Dubai, he fled to Dubai," said Flippo's attorney, Larry Hutcher, following a court hearing in Manhattan. "He's still in Dubai. He's not coming back."

Starr's legal team countered that the move was not an evasion. "What's anyone doing in Dubai? Traveling and enjoying the Middle East," stated Starr's lawyer, Todd Spodek.

Starr, who was not present at the hearing, has previously asserted that he and Flippo were in a domestic partnership with plans to marry and that their relationship was one of love. Flippo disputes this, telling The Post outside court, "The person that I fell in love with, he does not exist. That does not exist. It was all a lie, all a manufactured lie."

Flippo's attorneys are seeking to freeze Starr's assets to recover the funds she claims were taken. Starr's legal team argued against this request in court.

Marianne Flippo appears in court on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Manhattan Supreme Court. She accuses Starr of scamming her out of $6 million following the suicide of her husband.
