Gia Mills, a make-up artist and founder of the Skin In Motion cosmetics brand, has detailed a cosmetic procedure aimed at rejuvenating the lower half of her face. Mills, who also hosts the celebrity beauty podcast 'True Reflections,' stated that her appearance on video clips for the podcast revealed signs of aging that were not apparent in her daily reflection.

"Everything was just starting to go a bit south," Mills described, noting that her jawline appeared less defined than she realized. While she had previously focused on wrinkle reduction with Botox and lip fillers, she had neglected the lower facial structure.

Mills sought treatment from Dr. Ivona Igerc, known as Dr. Ivy, whose approach to facial aesthetics she found appealing. Dr. Ivy, who has over 25 years of experience and has worked with celebrities on Hollywood sets, employs a technique she calls 'face design.' This method focuses on the overall facial structure and symmetry rather than just isolated lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Ivy explained to Mills that age-related volume loss in the fat pads of the mid-face and lower face contributes to sagging and lines. The treatment involved using a specific high-quality hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, chosen for its purity and lack of lidocaine, which Dr. Ivy believes can constrict skin fibers.

The procedure, which took less than an hour, involved approximately three milliliters of HA filler administered through 20 micro-droplet injection points. Dr. Ivy strategically placed the filler in deeper layers to rebuild the underlying facial structure, focusing on the cheekbones, the area between the cheekbone and jawline, and the jawline itself. She also performed subtle lip enhancement. During the injections, Dr. Ivy engaged Mills in conversation and encouraged facial movements to ensure a natural result that would not appear distorted when the face was animated.

Mills reported minimal downtime, with only a small bruise that was easily concealed. She also used a post-care exosome cream to stimulate collagen production. While the initial changes were subtle, the full effect became apparent over the following weeks.

"The difference was staggering. My jawline was so much more defined, and yet the overall effect was incredibly natural," Mills stated. She added that others have commented on her improved appearance without realizing she had undergone a procedure. Dr. Ivy suggests that the results can last up to a year, with touch-ups recommended every four to six months. Mills expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that the treatment restored a
