A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Long Beach area of Southern California shortly after midnight on Friday. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake occurred around 12:45 a.m. approximately one mile southwest of the Signal Hill area and at a depth of about 7.64 miles underground.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries resulting from the tremor. This earthquake follows a 3.5-magnitude tremor that shook parts of Southern California earlier in the week. That quake occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Orange County and was felt as far south as San Diego.
