Maggie McGraw, the 28-year-old daughter of country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, is engaged to her boyfriend, James Rubin. The announcement was made by Maggie's older sister, Gracie, on Saturday via an Instagram post.
Gracie shared a carousel of photos commemorating the engagement, detailing that Rubin proposed "in the greatest most Maggie way possible, filled with flowers and family." One of the images featured Maggie displaying her engagement ring. Gracie also noted the involvement of other relatives in the surprise proposal, expressing her honor at being part of the planning.
"Couldn’t have done it without the help of the best friend a gal could have @timothyehrlich and the artistry of our beautiful sister @audreymcgraw," Gracie wrote in her post. She added, "Can’t believe our sister is engaged!!!! AHH!! So excited to have two more sisters added to the mix. And the obvious… a new brother-in-law who loves my sister so fiercely and wholly that it makes everything all the more special. Thank you @jamesrubin170 for making my sister the happiest lady in all the land."
Maggie is one of three daughters of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who have been married since 1996. Their other daughters are Gracie, 29, and Audrey, 24.
This news comes days after Tim McGraw experienced a fall on stage during his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour in Ohio. The incident occurred while he was performing his 1995 hit "I Like It, I Love It." McGraw, 59, appeared to be a good sport about the mishap, reportedly telling the crowd, "There’s a hole there," and later posting a video of the fall on Instagram, playfully captioning it, "Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot, even if I couldn’t stay on mine."
