MAGA-Inspired Patriot's Day Freedom Fest Canceled Due to Low Ticket Sales

The Patriot's Day Freedom Fest, a MAGA-inspired event scheduled for Saturday in Kentucky, has been canceled due to insufficient VIP ticket sales. Organizer Eric Deters announced the cancellation in a now-deleted Facebook video, according to reports from Newsweek and The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Deters, 63, stated that the event, which he founded four years ago, was planned with the expectation that VIP ticket sales, priced at $1,000 each, would cover the costs. Free general admission was also offered.

"When I put together Patriot State Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with the VIP sales of $1,000 from these hundred people that I interact with on a regular basis that have money," Deters explained in the video. He reported that only six VIP tickets had been sold by Monday morning.

Deters expressed disappointment, suggesting a lack of reciprocity from the affluent individuals he regularly assists. He vowed not to offer favors to these individuals in the future and indicated he would not promote the event again.

In a subsequent video, Deters clarified that the cancellation was not due to a lack of support from MAGA supporters but rather a failure to cover the event's expenses, as he typically funds it himself. He praised Kid Rock, who was slated to speak at the event, calling him "a good dude" and emphasizing that the cancellation had no bearing on the musician.

A publicist for Kid Rock confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the musician was added to the event just five days prior to its cancellation and had no other involvement beyond being booked to speak. The advertisement for the event's VIP package included access to a special viewing area, catering, and a meet-and-greet.

Other advertised guests included Fox broadcaster Joe Concha, Rep. James Comer, and boxer Jackie Kallen.
