American singer-songwriter Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert announced their engagement on social media on Tuesday.

The couple shared photos of the proposal, which showed Herbert on one knee presenting Beer with a ring. The joint post was captioned, "meet my fiancé".

Beer, 27, and Herbert, 28, were first publicly seen together in August 2025. Beer was a frequent attendee at Chargers games last season, and the pair have also been spotted at Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers games.

Herbert is expected to report to training camp on Wednesday for the start of his seventh season with the Chargers. He previously appeared in Beer's music video for her single "lovergirl" earlier this year.

The NFL team congratulated the couple on social media, writing, "JH+MB 4EV." The NFL also shared congratulations on X, formerly Twitter, stating, "Congrats to Justin Herbert and Madison Beer on their engagement."

Beer rose to prominence after pop star Justin Bieber shared a video of her singing Etta James' "At Last" in 2012. She released her debut single the following year, accompanied by a video featuring Bieber.
