Madelaine Petsch, known for her role as Cheryl Blossom in the CW series "Riverdale," has publicly denied rumors of romantic relationships among the show's cast. Petsch's statements come after co-star KJ Apa told Entertainment Weekly in August that "people hook up with each other" on shows like "Riverdale," describing it as part of the environment.

Petsch addressed the topic on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast in September, stating emphatically, "I did not touch a single person on that show with a 10-foot pole." She reiterated, "I never touched them. That’s what happened. Thank you for coming to my TED talk." She clarified that she does not mix business and pleasure and has never hooked up with a co-star.

She also shared that "Riverdale" co-star Cole Sprouse, who dated castmate Lili Reinhart for several years during the show's run, had advised her against getting romantically involved with other cast members. Petsch recalled his advice as "the best advice [she’s] ever been given."

Apa's earlier comments to Entertainment Weekly suggested a different dynamic on set, where he noted that "there’s a lot of drama that comes on shows like that" and that "you hook up with them, people hook up with each other." He also disclosed that he had delayed having sex, identifying himself as a "proud Christian boy" at the time, and that once he did have sex with an unnamed actor on the show, it became "a little complicated" and led to on-set conflict.

Petsch made these remarks while attending an event on the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles to promote the debut of Sparkling Ice Soda Shoppe, a zero-sugar beverage. She was accompanied at the event by former "Riverdale" co-star Vanessa Morgan and influencer Lars Gummer.
