Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox Navigate Co-Parenting Amid New Relationships
The former couple, who ended their 'toxic' romance over a year ago, are now focused on their daughter, while the rapper is reportedly seeing Dakota Johnson.
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox have transitioned from a tumultuous romantic relationship to a co-parenting dynamic, with their primary focus now on their 17-month-old daughter, Saga. The couple, who were together for approximately four and a half years, ended their romantic involvement over a year ago.
A source told Us Weekly that "MGK and Megan are done and only communicate about their daughter and co-parenting logistics." The same source noted that both acknowledge having "toxic tendencies" and that their current arrangement is "much better this way." While the singer-songwriter "will always love Megan and have a soft spot for her," he "gave up pursuing a romantic relationship with her several months ago."
Machine Gun Kelly, 36, was recently seen with actress Dakota Johnson, 36, at Taylor Swift's New York City apartment earlier this month. Sources indicate that the two have been "quietly seeing" each other for a couple of months. According to People, they "hit it off" at a July 4 wedding and have been getting to know each other since, initially as friends who texted often, and now spending more time together. A friend described their connection as a "very new start" where they are "smitten with each other right now."
Megan Fox, 40, is also focused on her children: Saga, and her four sons from her previous marriage to Brian Austin Green – Noah, 13; Bodhi, 11; and Journey, 9. Machine Gun Kelly also has a daughter, Casie, 17, from a previous relationship.
In January, a source told People that Fox's "relationship at this point is just about co-parenting. Megan is focused on her kids and the baby and just getting settled into this new chapter. That's genuinely her priority." The source added that Fox is "very happy with how he's stepped up for both her and the baby" and that while they maintain separate homes, they "spend a lot of time together as a family," putting the baby first, which has "brought them closer in many ways."
