Macaulay Culkin's upcoming Australian tour, "Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin," has been abruptly cancelled just weeks before its scheduled start.
The tour, which was set to feature screenings of the iconic 1990 film "Home Alone" followed by a moderated interview with Culkin, was slated for multiple dates across Australia in November. Planned stops included Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on November 24, Melbourne's Regent Theatre on November 27, and Sydney's Enmore Theatre on November 29 and 30.
Organizers confirmed the cancellation on Thursday, citing a "scheduling conflict" as the reason for calling off the events. "We apologise for any inconvenience," a statement from the organizers read. Refunds are being automatically processed through the point of purchase, with ticket holders advised to contact Ticketek for information.
The "Nostalgic Night" events offered various ticket tiers, including VIP Meet and Greet packages starting at $399, which included a photo opportunity with Culkin. General admission tickets ranged from $106 to $179.
Culkin, 46, achieved global stardom with his role as Kevin McCallister in "Home Alone." The film's massive box office success cemented his status as one of the most famous child actors of the 1990s. He reprised his role in the 1992 sequel, "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," and starred in other films such as "My Girl" and "The Good Son." After retiring from acting as a child star following "Richie Rich" in 1994, Culkin returned to screens years later with a guest role on "Will & Grace."
