Mabel Lowe Honors Sister Fiona After Her Death
Chad Lowe's eldest daughter, Mabel, shared a poignant tribute on Instagram to her late sister, Fiona, who passed away at age 13.
Mabel Lowe, the eldest daughter of actor Chad Lowe, has publicly mourned the loss of her younger sister, Fiona, who died at the age of 13. Mabel shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing her profound love and grief.
"I love you so much fiona ❤️ i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now," Mabel wrote in her post. "I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."
Mabel accompanied her tribute with a series of photos, including childhood pictures of herself and Fiona, and a final image of Fiona dancing. The 17-year-old shared the statement on her Instagram Stories, along with a picture of Fiona smiling.
The Lowe family, including Lowe's wife Kim Painter and their youngest daughter, 10-year-old Nixie, announced Fiona's death on September 29. In a statement, the family described Fiona as a "loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance." They added, "She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time."
The family also included a resource for mental health support in their statement, providing the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline number. Chad Lowe's father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, also paid tribute to his granddaughter, sharing a photo of Fiona swimming and writing, "Rest in peace, sweet Fiona."
Fiona's last public appearance with her family was at the premiere of Marvel's “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” in February 2023. The actor has previously spoken about the joy of being a father to his three daughters, calling it his life's "greatest joy and privilege."
In February 2024, Lowe shared how he was in awe of his daughters' spirit and resilience after their home was destroyed in the Palisades fire, stating that helping them navigate tough times was his "sole purpose."
