Lynda Carter, the actress famed for her portrayal of Wonder Woman, recently shared insights into her career and upcoming projects, marking her 75th birthday. Carter posted on Instagram this week, teasing her involvement in the comedy film "Super Troopers 3," slated for an August 7 release. She is set to reprise her role as Governor Jessman, a character she previously played in "Super Troopers" (2001) and its 2018 sequel.

Carter, who was crowned Miss World USA before taking on the iconic Wonder Woman role that aired from 1975 to 1979, offered a peek at her on-set experience for "Super Troopers 3." Images shared showed her looking youthful, relaxing in a bathtub near a lake, and posing with co-stars Brian Cox and director Jay Chandrasekhar, as well as other crew members. Carter expressed her excitement about the film in the caption, humorously noting a scene where she appears in a bathtub, writing, "@supertroopers Ride Again!!!! Follow them and us (returning cast) For a fantastic road romp!! ... But….wait for it…the last scene! I'm naked in a bathtub???? Oh noooo, @jaychandrasekhar you promised not to show that! Super Troopers 3, only in theaters August 7th!!"

The actress celebrated her 75th birthday on July 24, drawing considerable attention for her seemingly ageless appearance. Social media users expressed admiration, with comments like "My God, is she getting younger?!" and "Still absolutely gorgeous." One fan remarked, "I truly thought this was a still from a Wonder Woman episode. Lynda is timeless."

In a 2024 interview with People, Carter discussed her perspective on aging, stating, "People still recognize me all the time as Wonder Woman. I don't know that I've changed too dramatically." She revealed that she has not undergone facial surgery, citing fear as the reason, "I don't cut my face, so I probably look just myself, but older... And the reason I've never had any facial surgery is just because I'm afraid. It's scary, because we've all seen some bad ones."

Carter's career began with her Miss World USA title in 1972, followed by a period as a singer before her breakthrough role as Diana Prince. The "Wonder Woman" series, which initially aired on ABC before moving to CBS, achieved significant popularity. Carter has reflected on the character's enduring appeal, telling Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, "There is something about the goodness, kindness, and humanity of Wonder Woman. But her strength! That she cannot be victimized is one of the greatest strengths. She does not victimize others; she protects. Her superpowers are those that are not on the aggressive side - she is the protector." She also related this strength to the experiences of women, adding, "And I think that, as women, we understand that strength - the juggling of 10,000 things at once that we do, and still have that fierce 'mama bear' that comes through at times."

Beyond the original series, Carter made a cameo in the 2020 film "Wonder Woman 1984." Reflecting on her past, she shared with People that before landing the role of Wonder Woman, she was facing financial difficulties, stating, "Well, when I got the role of Wonder Woman, I had literally $25 in my checking account. I had been on the road as a singer ever since high school, and I'd saved up money and I had run out of money."
