British lifestyle creator Lydia Millen has partnered with jewelry brand Carrie Elizabeth to launch a collection of nature-themed pieces designed to be collected and hold personal meaning.
Lifestyle creator Lydia Millen has launched a new jewelry collection in collaboration with the brand Carrie Elizabeth. The collection, titled "Evergreen," is inspired by nature, growth, renewal, nostalgia, and the changing seasons.
Millen, who is also an author, has built a significant online presence around country living. The "Evergreen" collection draws from her philosophy of finding beauty in nature and appreciating everyday moments. Pieces in the collection feature motifs such as ivy leaves, acorns, oak and birch leaves, flowers, a watering can, a seed packet, and notably, a chicken charm.
The collaboration originated organically, with Millen being a pre-existing customer of Carrie Elizabeth. She had begun collecting charms for a bracelet, selecting symbols that held personal significance. When Carrie Elizabeth founder Carrie Brice approached Millen about creating a collection based on her "Evergreen" ethos, the partnership felt serendipitous.
"Jewellery to me, tells a story of my life," Millen stated. "I have pieces that remind me of the difficult times in my life, and pieces that remind me of the most beautiful times in my life, and I want to remember those times equally." The collection is designed to be built upon over time, with individual charms intended to mark significant life events like birthdays, holidays, or new chapters.
"I love the thought of someone beginning with one little charm that means something to them and then adding to it over the years," Millen said. "Over time, the pieces become a kind of diary, but instead of words, they’re symbols of the life you’ve lived."
The collection includes charms meant for accumulation, as well as more substantial items like a vintage-inspired gemstone ring, earrings, and a pendant. The ivy leaf earrings have become a favorite of Millen's, noted for their versatility in dressing up or down. She has even worn the ivy leaf brooch in her hair, appreciating jewelry that allows for personal styling choices.
The "Evergreen" collection is crafted in gold vermeil and sterling silver, with select pieces also available in 9k solid gold. Prices range from £50 to £595. The collection is available online through the Carrie Elizabeth website.
