Country music star Luke Bryan was on the sidelines as his son, Bo Bryan, quarterback for the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats, led his team to a 41-36 victory over rival Franklin Road Academy. The win came in a rematch of last year’s Tennessee Division II-AA state championship.

Bo Bryan, a senior, completed a standout performance on Friday, throwing for 404 yards and six touchdowns with one interception. His father, who had performed in Nashville hours before the game and appeared on The Tonight Show days later, expressed his pride in his son's efforts.

"I couldn’t be prouder as a dad," Luke Bryan told USA Today Sports following the game, which moved the Wildcats to a 4-1 season record. "This being against a big rival during his senior year, he’s learning as he goes."

He added that while his son experienced pressure situations, including a pick that led to points for the opposing team, he demonstrated resilience. "For the team to battle back and for him to have such an incredible second half and for his coaches to trust him with that fourth down call, I couldn’t be prouder as a dad."

Bo Bryan is recognized as a three-star recruit, with college football offers from institutions such as Tennessee Tech and North Alabama.
