Luke Bryan's Son Leads High School Team to Victory in First Start as Quarterback

Battle Ground Academy senior Bo Bryan, son of country music star Luke Bryan, delivered a memorable performance in his first season as a starting quarterback, leading his team to a 41-35 victory over rival Franklin Road Academy.

Bryan achieved a career-high of 406 passing yards and threw six touchdowns during the Friday night game, a rematch of the previous year's Tennessee Division II-AA state championship.

Despite an early interception that led to an opponent's touchdown and put his team down by 10 points, the three-star recruit maintained composure. His father, Luke Bryan, who was in attendance wearing a BGA cap and polo, expressed pride in his son's ability to perform under pressure.

"I’m super impressed. This being against a big rival during his senior year, he’s learning as he goes," Luke Bryan told USA Today Sports. "Everything that happens to him this year is the first time he’s had all these pressure situations, all the ups and downs. He came out, we got behind and he threw a pick that turned into points for them. But for the team to battle back and for him to have such an incredible second half and for his coaches to trust him with that fourth down call, I couldn’t be prouder as a dad."

The win followed a 21-point loss to Milton (Ga.) and an subsequent bye week for Battle Ground Academy.

Bo Bryan has received scholarship offers from several colleges, including Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Austin Peay, UT Martin, and North Alabama.

Luke Bryan's attendance at the game in Tennessee came amidst a demanding schedule. He performed at a concert in Nashville the day before the game and had a show scheduled in Wisconsin the day after. He also appeared as a musical guest on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
