Luke Bryan's Son, 18, Suffers Broken Collarbone in High School Football Game
Bo Bryan sustained the injury during a game on Friday and later confirmed the diagnosis on social media.
Bo Bryan, the 18-year-old son of country music star Luke Bryan, sustained a broken collarbone during a high school football game on Friday. The injury occurred when Bo, who plays quarterback for Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee, landed on his right shoulder after being sacked.
Bo shared news of his injury on Instagram on Saturday, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support and well wishes he received. He told The Tennessean that initially, he believed he had only sustained a "stinger," but realized the severity of the situation upon leaving the field.
Despite the injury, Bo has had a notable football season. He has led his team to a 6-1 record in his first full season as the starting quarterback. Luke Bryan, who has been vocal about supporting his son's athletic endeavors, expressed pride in Bo's performance earlier in the season. In September, he told USA TODAY Sports that he was "super impressed" with his son's development as a quarterback, acknowledging the pressure situations Bo has navigated throughout the year.
Bo is one of Luke Bryan's two sons with his wife, Caroline Boyer. The couple also has a younger son, Tatum Christopher Bryan, 16. Luke Bryan also adopted his two nieces and nephew following the deaths of his sister and brother-in-law.
