Lucy Mecklenburgh Loses Shoe on Train, Faces Barefoot Journey Home

Lucy Mecklenburgh experienced a moment of dismay on Thursday when she lost a shoe between a train and the platform, forcing her to travel home barefoot. The incident occurred following a date with her fiancé, Ryan Thomas.

Mecklenburgh, 35, shared the mishap on Instagram, humorously captioning a re-post of Thomas's story with "Fuming I love these shoes." The initial post showed her on the train with one black loafer missing, her right foot exposed, while Thomas expressed his shock in the background.

This incident comes shortly after reports that Mecklenburgh and Thomas are set to profit from the sale of their Cheshire mansion, which they have listed for £1.25 million. The couple purchased the Edwardian property for £675,000 in 2021 and have since invested heavily in its renovation, transforming it into a four-story home with amenities including a gym and a sound studio.

If the property sells at its asking price, it would represent an increase in value of £575,000, an 85% rise. The deeds for the property are solely in Ryan Thomas's name, potentially offering him a significant financial gain. Thomas has previously spoken about his past financial difficulties, including a bankruptcy in 2013 and recent reports of low funds in his media company.

In contrast, Mecklenburgh has reportedly built a substantial fortune estimated at £3 million through her fitness business, fashion endorsements, and beauty campaigns. Her company, Lucy Olivia Ltd, reported assets of £1.32 million in 2025, and her fitness venture, Results Wellness Lifestyle, had assets of approximately £660,000.

The couple met in 2017 during the filming of a celebrity edition of "The Island with Bear Grylls" and became engaged in 2019. They purchased their Cheshire home in 2021 but did not move in until 2023 after extensive renovations. They relocated with their two young children, Roman and Lilah, from Mecklenburgh's former home in Essex. Despite the luxurious surroundings of their mansion, Mecklenburgh recently shared that she and Thomas sleep in separate bedrooms.
